Teaching values education
has always been a part of learning, often taking place
indirectly during the school day. Respect, Grades 3-4,
takes a focused approach to values instruction, taking up
current pedagogy, the most up-to-date research, and effective
conflict resolution models. The reproducible activities
help students to recognize and internalize the core values
practiced in their school and community. Children learn
the difference between "inner power" and "power over" as they
work to develop a personal value framework that incorporates
respect for themselves and others.
